Well, I went for my 4th of six weigh-ins for my pre-op diet and I gained.  I kind of knew I would.  I couldn't stop eating to save my life theses last few weeks.  I just hope it doesn't affect my chances of getting approved by my insurance company.  On a good note though, I am over the hump.  I only have 2 more weigh-ins to do and I'm finished all my pre-op tests.

Sandi, you may only have one more weight in if you did not count your first visit as your first month weigh-in. That was a big surprise to me when I though I was doing my 5th weigh in and it was actually my 6th. I did not lose any weight pre-op and there was no problem with approval. Good luck,

Gail - I wanted to wish you good luck tomorrow, too!  I'm sure you're now doing that fun prep - ICK!!  But don't worry, it'll all soon be a distant memory!

You're in good hands with DVR and his staff.  Once the nurses get you up walking tomorrow night, walk as often as you feel up to it, it'll help.  Unless things have changed drastically in two years, you'll go for your leak test on Wednesday a.m., at which time you'll get to drink some more yummy stuff!!  But it's all a means to an end - once DVR reviews the film, you'll be cleared to drink, which will be a blessed thing, trust me.  One word of advice, and I know every one says this, but SIP!  I forgot to sip and took a huge mouthful of s/f juice and I was quickly reminded by my pouch to sip!

Take care, and post when you can!

Sandi - Everyone's given you good advice, please don't be too hard on yourself.  It's hard not to have the "last supper" syndrome and eat everything in sight, but trust me, you'll be able to eat good things again - I promise! Hang in there, Tia

Oh Sandi If I had a penny for everytime I have said that in my life.  I think you are going to get back on track, everyone here is right.  I am sure at some point I will say it again.  Get that protein in and get walking, it all helps at the end.  Think possitive! Hugs Kristen Come to the walk on 10/20/07, I will see you there

Hi Sandi, If you read my profile I also gained weight on my 5th visit.   I belive.  Just focus and try to lose what you gained for your last visit.   Just to show the insurance carrier that you are serious about wanting the surgery.   I think I gained 5 pounds but I lost 4 for my last weigh in.  All went fine and I was appoved.  Don't be so hard on yourself. You are almost done.   Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
