Good Monday Morning Everybody! So how is everyone?  I'm doing great, just have been as busy as a one armed paper hanger.  Life seems to be going at warp speed these days (both professionally and personally).  Things are great!  I have my upper body lift scheduled for November 5th.  I'm looking forward to completing this "final phase" of my physical transformation.  Things are going great with McSweetie (it's kinda funny.....I told him about how everybody on here referred to him as that nickname and now he's referring to himself as McSweetie..hehehe).  He's a great guy!  McSis moved into her new house back on September 7th and is getting settled in nicely.  McMom had the (hopefully) final surgery in her breast reconstruction process (after a mastectomy in November 2006) back on September 12th.  She's recuperating nicely and is doing fine (although she thinks she's not healing fast enough - I guess she wanted to come home from surgery and hit the ground running  - at 76 she doesn't heal as fast as she used to).  I'm looking forward to seeing everybody for the October get together.  DId we decide on a date yet? Well I managed to get in here now, no telling what'll happen if I try later this morning.  I better get moving, I have lots of work to do. Have a Wonderful Day! Terry

Take Care,
Terry

Hi Terry, I am so glad everything is going so well, in all parts of your life. I am excited for you for the upper body lift. It is coming up quick. My husband keeps telling me I need to concentrate on being happy with the weight loss instead of worrying about how bad my skin looks. I am never happy. I have lost 80 pounds for my first six months and I am happy about that. Maybe in time I will be in a postion to have the surgery to correct it. I hope I will see you soon. Not sure on the Oct get- together yet depends on the date they choose. Take care, Wanda

Hey Wanda I was thinking of you over the weekend.   How are you doing with the stones?   My right kidney is just about clear (there are still a few fragments) and they are going to blast the left side on Oct 18.   No stent for the left side.   I would rather deal with the potential pain that the discomfort of the stent for another month. 80 pounds???  Wow .. you rock.. that is great!!! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Mo, I hope my stones are a thing of the past. I had my stent in for one month. Luckily I didn't have many problems from it. Sometimes a little discomfort from it and they gave me pills that I took for that. The day my stent was removed and the day after I passed many stones. Hopefully, it was all of them. I go back in six months to see how I'm doing. I had a 24 hour urine test done and it reveled that I was not taking in enough fluids and that my citrate level was low so, I am drinking 90 ounces a day and taking a supplement for the citrate. Thankfully, I was never in any pain from the stones.  Good luck with your next lithotripsy. Hopefully it will do the trick.

After the next round of lithotripsy and getting rid of the stone(s) in the left kidney I am going to have the 24 hour urine and metabolic panel to see what they can determine about the source of my stones.    Glad to hear you are doing so much better! Hugs, Mo

Good morning Terry! Busy Busy Busy here too.   I've got a project going in the office that is very labor intensive and I have no labor but my own to work on it, so I'm trying to get through at least this first phase before our vacation in two weeks. We spent a good part of the weekend working on some things for the RV.   We are known in the campground at the track for having a very elaborate diecast and bear display in the front window, and since the dash configuration is different in the new RV, we have been doing 'construction' to make everything fit.   I think we have a plan, we will just need to improve on it. We leave on Sunday the 7th and will be back Monday the 15th.   I go in for lithotripsy again on the 18th, so the two days I'll be back in the office after vacation will be busy. I've been sort of back on the exercise routine.  I got to the gym 3 days last week and started off this a.m. on the right foot!   I had to go this a.m. because Big Blue was blocking Mr Mo's truck so I had to get up and move BB ... so I moved right to the gym. Hugs, Mo

Hey girlie - How are ya?  Glad to see everything's well with you.  I've been busy, too, no, not with Mr. Right, or even Mr. Right Now, but with our new furbaby, Happy.  I posted details about her so I won't bore you now.  You can read about her at your leisure. Yep, McSweetie is McSmartie, too!  He knows a good thing!!  You inspire me to keep looking, as my last couple have been anything but fun.  Comical, yes, but not fun.  If nothing else, there's the entertainment factor.  I'm supposed to have a meet and greet sometime this week, we'll see.....not getting my hopes up just yet!! Glad McSis is getting settled and that McMom is settling down.  Tell her a trip to Rheb's is in my future!! Work has been horrible, I can honestly say I hate my job, but am working on a few moves to rectify that.  More as things develop. Everyone's well and busy on my end.  KB are busy with school, hence I'm busy with school, too! Take care, Tia

Hi Terry.   So glad to see you are doing so well.  You deserve such happiness.  We too have been busy.  Somedays I feel like my head is spinning with all the appointments, projects, volunteering, kids schedules, etc., etc., etc.  It gets pretty crazy.  I am getting appointment dates mixed up and I keep a very detailed outlook calendar.  Problem is that when I am not at work, I don't check the calendar or get my little reminders.  Looks like I need to go look for something to carry with me so I can check a calendar at a moments notice to keep track.  I had myself all worked up over an appointment for today that isn't even today!!! It's October 15th.    The logistics are tough sometimes when you have three drivers, one car and four very busy schedules.  But enough whining!!! We had a great time this weekend at the Ravens game.  It was my first live football game.  I enjoy football so it was a real treat to get to see a live game.  It was nice and warm too!  I loved it.   I spent Saturday, working on the house, finishing up one of my kitchen projects and the took Stephanie shopping for a homecoming dress.  We found a nice dress at Penney's and then another one at Lord & Taylors.  The one at L&T was on sale for $30!!!  How cool is that.  I need to make a slight adjustment to it.  I am taking the spagetti straps off and making them tie around the neck.  The dress was showing a little too much chest for my preference but I think the slight change will work well.  If it does then we will take the one for Penney's back.  I'll work on that tonight.  This is Stephanie's senior homecoming so it should be a memorable one.   Still lots of projects to do on the house but we are taking them one at a time.  We probably won't get to do any work for a few weeks because our weekends are packed from now until the 3rd weekend in Oct.  Although I might try to do some things in the evenings if I have the energy.  I find that I tire out very quickly since my surgery.  But that is getting better every day.   Have a wonderful afternoon!  Hugs, Robin
