Surgery date has been moved up from October 8 to next Friday September 28!!!  I feel like I'm in a whirlwind - so much to do and so little time to do it (blah, blah, blah).  But I am so excited and feel motivated to accomplish alot this weekend. The only problem is I don't know where to start!  I have to order vitamins and supplements and buy protein stuff, etc.  I'm so happy to have all of you and your wonderful advice and support! Kendra

Wowzers!   That is some news!   Congratulations on the new date .. this week is going to FLY by. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Wow, date moved up!  That's cool - one less week of being nervous and waiting. IMHO you have the best surgeon out there so don't worry, just do what they say and you'll be fine before you know it. Best of luck, Ted

That's great news. If you don't see the vitamins, drinks, etc. you need at Walmart or GNC, there is a new Vitamin Shoppe that they opened in Bel Air, right across from Harford Mall. They really have a nice selection. I used to order from them online; now they're right up the street. They even give you adiscount card. They have alot of the drinks there, even Isopure drinks. If you get a chance, check it out. Good luck with your surgery; it's an exciting time!! ~~ Trish

Kendra, I'm so happy for you!  Kick it into gear and prioritize what needs to be done.  Everything will still be there after surgery and you'll be surprised at exactly how able you are to still live life on a daily basis.  Recovery was a breeze!  Best of luck. TraciL

Thank you all for your support!!  I want to do some housecleaning/organizing plus I still need to work about 40 hours worth of night shifts before the big day.  My husband is right beside me doing what needs to be done so hopefully I will feel settled soon! Kendra

Hi Kendra, Its great you can be flexible enough to move the date up. I offer only a small piece of advice. The first week or so was all about keeping hydrated, so unless your doc does things differently it will basically be about sf jello, sf popsicles, sf liq and clear soups. I say worry about all the other stuff after the surgery. Good luck !! Mark

Hi Kendra, I am excited for you!  It'll be a great day to have surgery, that's my birthday.    Sounds like you are just about set and ready to join us on the losers side.  This surgery has completely changed my life.  It's funny...my life is so much still the same and yet so different.  I think it's the way I feel about myself and my new outlook on life which stems from feeling better about me.  I hope the same and more happens for you! Hugs, Robin
