Now it is up to UHC
I just left Dr. S's office. I met with another doctor first and he thought RNY was better for me but I convinced him I had done my research. Dr. S came in and we chatted for about 10 minutes and he asked if I really wanted the DS and I said yes. He said alright, I will file with insurance and that was it. My NUT appointment is Monday and unfortunately I have to pay for it since my insurance doesnt cover it but that is nothing as long as they take care of the surgery!
I am crossing fingers and toes that UHC comes through for me soon!

I have been nothing but pleased with United Health Care. They approved me quickly and since I was undecided they granted approval for RNY and the Lapband - the 2 that I was considering at the time. I have since decided on the RNY. It was less then 1 week from submission of papers until the decision.
Good luck!
Kendra
Here's hoping for a speedy and positive decision for you!

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
