Mission Complete! Move over benchwarmers!!!
Hey everyone. I had my surgery yesterday and just got home! It all went well, with no issues or complications to report. It was a weird but remarkable experience. I DO remember when I was lying on the table chatting with the operation staff, the dopeman said his famous phrase everyone should know or heard about and it felt like I took some cocaine or something. I NEVER felt like that before. I asked him "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT DUDE?" He laughed and said that he gave me a little taste of it. Well I think he lied cause like 20 seconds later, I remember waking up in recovery. LOL My pain is minimal, I have no gas pain or anything that I know of, which is weird but whenver I swallow fluids I get a tightness in my belly. I really don't like it. I guess it's the "full" alarm. LOL It didn't take long to get home but I took to pain pills as a precaution. It's a long ride home from Rockville to Southern Maryland on the beltway! But I am home safe now, I gave myself a shot of Lovenox and got 2 pain pills out on my nightstand in standby. By the way, my 24 hour hospital stay was really.....something. My neck is stiff from sleeping so much and I had this realy bothersome neighbor who complained and *****ed about EVERYTHING. But my poor wife and kid slept in the chair and in the truck. They didn't want to leave me. Ok, I think I'm gonna retire. Thanks for all the support everyone and I'll log on tomorow and let you know how i am doing. Later fellow losers!!
Hey Mike,
Here's to a very speedy recovery!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
