Had to turn down an earlier date

Alice from Dr. S's office called me today and offered me the 2nd.  Unfortunately, I had to turn her down.  I work for the gov't and the end of the FY is crazy.  There's no way I could have been ready by the second.  My pre-op appointments are scheduled for the 1st, and I wanted time to get the yard cleaned up for fall/winter while I can still lift 50-lb bags of mulch.  I'd already made all my other arrangements geared to the 9th.  So ... someone else is gonna get really lucky!

I had to do the same thing, you feel bad cause you really want it but you need to make sure you have all of your ducks in a row.  Good for you and don't feel bad. Hugs Kristen

You're so close, I'm sure you're excited.  Can't wait to hear stories from the losers bench!
Hugs!

I had to reschedule mine also. I thought having surgery on my 50th birthday was not a great way to spend my day. I had it 2 days later. That was a great way to spend the day!

Same thing happened to me.  It was so frustrating not to be able to say, "YES!"  In the long run, it was better for me to have the extra time for preparation.  My dearly departed step-mom had a wonderful saying: "Everything's perfect.", which is just a shortened version of, "Everything happens for a reason".  The 9th will be here before you know it! Hang in there, Elaine
