VENT!!!

Sorry in advance for "crying on your shoulders"!!...      I saw the surgeon 10 days ago and was told that my paperwork was being submitted that day to insurance.  One week ago (over the phone) my insurance co. said APPROVED (yeah)!!  Of course that was Friday and I couldn't wait for the doctor's office to reopen on Monday and get things started, get a date, etc.  It is now Friday again and NO ONE has called me back!!!  I have called and left messages during the week - just a few times, nothing too nagging or anything.  I thought that getting the insurance approval was going to be the hard part.  I know that there was a Jewish holiday this week and that everone is busy but I'm feeling selfish today and just want the secretary to call me!!! Once again, thanks for letting me vent!!

We all have been there and done that....I am sure they will call early next week.  Keep your chin up.

I am so sorry you are having to go through all of that.  They have gotten new people there, the best person to call is Elaine.  She is going to retire at the end of the month and they are trying to get Sarah trained.  Plus there was a jewish holiday this week and the office was closed on Thursday.  I had to meet Dr. Gandsas there today and there was really no one there.

I'm glad your home safe and sound!! I have gotten a UTI each time I've had a catheter which each of my c-sections.  Wishing you a speedy recovery!! Once you had your insurance approval how long until they scheduled your surgery?  Katrice from Dr. Gandsas' office called me back this evening and said that she e-mailed Dr. Gandsas that I was approved and that he likes his patients to come and see him so that he can tell them the surgery date.  Is this how it worked for you? Oh I can't stand waiting and especially with something so significant as WLS.  I would definitely call Elaine on Monday like the other lady suggested and get to the bottom of this asap.  I can't wait to hear that you have a date!  You can vent anytime girl we are here for you. hugs,

Kendra It went so fast my head spinded.  He wanted me in two weeks and  I told him no.  I needed to take classes and finish all that up.  I think the same happened with Ted, he was in a crunch time and I did not want that.  Dr. Gandsas will tell you or you tell him.  He wants all your pre-op stuff done and then he is ready but make sure you see Nancy for classes. Hang in there! Once it starts it is a whirl wind with them!  I had my initial consult with Dr. Li on Jan 30 and my surgery was March 6th!  I am sure they were off for the holiday and are catching up.  That along with staffing changes - it may take a little longer than normal! But they will call! :)
