sore throat and mouth?

My throat is a mess and my mouth.  My mouth broke out cause of the tube.  I am thinking some of that mouth wash or do you have any ideas?  I am really sore today.  I can not sleep in my bed.  My bed is too high of the ground and I could not even climb into my own bed. I spent the night in my daughters bed, it was still better than being in the hospital.  It is almost noon and I have already gotten in 12oz of water/juice.  My new pouch is not liking juice that much, so I am doing more water.  I am off to take a nap. Hugs Kristen

Kristin, I am glad to see that you are home! I am sorry about your throat and month :( Hopefully, it will start feeling better in a few days. Congrats on the 12 oz! That is great! Keep up the good work and you wil be feeling like yourself in no time! 8 more days left for me! Getting really scared about it, but still excited as well. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I had a hard time getting into my bed too and my husband wrapped a wooden box in a bath towel for me to get in and out of bed (with his assistance) of course.  But I was more comfortable sleeping in my own bed than anywhere else.  Mix your juice with a little h20 and/or alot of ice.  Hope you're feeling better soon.  The first couple of days are the roughest!

Oh yeah I forgot...ice chips in those first couple of days really did the trick to keeping my hydration.  I had no real desire to drink anything or eat for that matter.  Just becuase I was scared to eat anything.  And sometimes it burned going down. They melt nice and slow and feel good on your throat too.

Hi Kristen, my lip had a huge blister on it and the inside of my mouth on the right side was scrapped raw from the tube along with a zit or two around my mouth. It goes away fairly quickly. Within a week they were all gone. Just hang in there, dilute your juice and use lots of ice as others suggested. You are going to do great now that you are home. Hugs.

Dr. Gandsas group at sinai say no ice, and no cold drinks only room temp.  Cold will cramp your pouch.  I will ask him when I talk to him at 6pm Kristen

No I couldn't handle anything too cold either it really hurt my pouch.   The only way I could sip tha****er was at room temp or i would get really nauseous. Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
