hello maryland, I am new to this site and am in the process of gathering information for my six month weight programs.  I was in weigh****chers for about a year but just had yo-yo dieting and was wondering did you have to have 6 months of successful weight loss. sheila

My insurance did not specify that the Weight Watchers had to result in successful weight loss, after all if it did you wouldn't need the surgery.  However it did specify that the time frame had to be six consecutive months in the last two years and you couldn't miss a month.  They also accepted other programs like Jenny Craig and of course physician supervised programs are always accepted.  Good luck and hope it helps. ~Bonnie "Waiting for the BCBS gods to smile upon me and grant me surgery approval. It's not so much the weight loss as they are looking to make sure you can commit to following a program.
