gastric sleeve info

Can anyone tell me what their approximate down time was.  my leave is limited at work.  I am interested in the gastric sleeve and want to get an idea of how long you are in the hospital and how long before you feel comfortable enough to return to work.  i know time varies but just to get some input on this would be great...

Hi. You should repost this question on the Duodenal Switch Forum. The gastric sleeve is actualy the first part of the DS. Several people on that board have very high BMI's and get the gastric sleeve first and when they lose enough come back fore the malabsorption part. So there are quite a few that would be able to respond to your question. Jo

Hey Kimberly, I had the sleeve done in Mexico on the 14th, the hospital stay is usally 2 days and to be honest I had very little pain. If you go to the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy forum on OH you can get alot more info. As far as work I was off for a week but the norm is 2 weeks or less good luck. Brian
