A Little Worried
I had my pre op appointments yesterday and my Blood pressure was thru the roof. My PCM uped my dose and is having me come in next week to make sure that it is under control. When I went to my admission appointment later in the afternoon yesterday it was even higher!!!! The nurse told me that it MUST get better in the next two weeks or they will cancel my surgery!!! I wanted to cry, but I know that getting upset will only make it worse. I know that it will all be fine, and I will make sure to take my meds like a good little girl, I just needed to vent for a little bit.
Good luck again Kristen and Ted on Monday! My thoughts and prayers are with you both!

My PCP physician gave me some pills to take two days prior to surgery to help with my blood pressure. Has your PCP mentioned any type of pills you could take prior to surgery? I mentioned it to my WLS dr. as well who said that it was a good idea. I wanted to make sure that they would be okay for me to take.
I was nervous, scared, excited, etc. Every emotion entered my body. I think when I finally got into the prep room and talked to the anesthesiologist, I was more excited than anything. (And I was scared before that for days; how can we not be?) But he really put me at ease, and so did Dr. S and the rest of the nursing staff. Hang in there; it will all be worth it. I truly have never felt better in my whole life. The other day I was walking downtown and started laughing when my friend was out of breath and I felt like I could walk for miles. It's an amazing journey! Can't wait to see you on the same road!!
Take care ~~ you have plenty of support around here!!

Thank you all for the kind words...It really means alot. Trish, I have to go back to see my PCP on the 13th to check my BP again, so I will surely ask her about the pills you were talking about. She did increase my meds yesterday so hopefully that will do the trick.
Thanks again for the reasurance. I am just running on ever emotion these days!
