I called my insurance company last evening to check on coverage for a procedure for my baby (another story altogether!) and the lady on the phone told me that she read in the computer that I was approved for my WLS!!! I said are you sure? - Sinai submitted my paperwork on Wednesday and she said...yes, you are covered and approved with a tentative surgery date of 10/1! Of course Dr. Gandsas' office is closed until Monday but I'm so excited!! Hoping that I'll be a big loser soon! Kendra

Thanks for all of the well-wishes! I won't feel likes it's official until I hear form the doctor's office, though. BTW I have United Healthcare (Baltimore City plan) and did not need a 6-month diet history ( I heard that is changing soon, though). I did need a 5 year history of obesity. Here's hoping that the doc's office calls 1st thing in the morning!! Kendra
