I'm new here. My surgery is on Tuesday. I've thought about having the surgery for a few years. I did a lot fo research and finally made a consult. THe process happened ery quickly actually. My consult was July 26, and my surgery is september 11.  I am soo excited, and very anxious. I am 32, and have been overweight my entire life. Had horrible eating habits as a child and have tried and failed several times to lose weight. I can't imagine not being like this. I have young children that I want to run with. I have arthritis in my knees already, thats the only 'problem' I have besides my weight.  I just can't believe it is about to happen. a

I am so happy to hear your good news! I have my surgery on 9/21 with Dr. Lidor who I believe is in practice with Dr. Steele. I am glad the process went quick for you, I was not so luck. I started in April and am now finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I was supposed to have surgery 8/31 but I was found to have sleep apena and had to get a cpap machine and u must wear that for 30 days prior to surgery, so now I wait. I wish you the best of luck on tuesday, and keep us posted. I would love to find out how everything goes. Gina

Tuesay will be my 7 wk out day and I'll be thinking about you.  Just know that the first couple weeks are going to be kinda rough.  It will get easier and it will happen pretty fast.  Just follow your surgeon's instructions and you'll drop the pounds! --Eric

Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a very speedy recovery! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
