Shocking!
It is amazing how quickly things can happen after you have had this surgery. Case in point. Last Wednesday night I was in the ER with some severe stomach pains. Nothing wrong so it must have been food. At the same time, I have been trying to stabilize my weight at 208. But after my hospital stay, a day of sleep afterwards and then working the state fair over the weekend, my weight had dropped to 204 by yesterday morning (Monday - Labor day). I cut the grass and trimmed the hedges. I also had to finish some things on my observatory. Following that I needed to do my training for my 5K, so I ran 6 miles in 60 minutes and 3 seconds. I ate normally, but was busy so there were no extras. Got up this morning and, as is part of my morning routine, got on the scale. I just chuckled. There, looking up at me was a number. The problem was the first number was a 1. 198 to be exact. I got off and got back on. Still 198. I showed my wife and promised I would work hard to get back to 208. But even with my wife's concerns, it was still very shocking (in a good way) to see that 1 before the other numbers! Hope your day is good one!
