i have a cold....and surgery in Monday sept 9th

I cant belive this.....will they pospone the operation????

That sucks! - but you still have time to get better!  The surgeon will want to make sure that you don't have a fever or infection (most colds are viral and not bacterial infections) and that your breathing is o.k.  Rest and drink lots of fluids and hopefully it will pass quickly! Good luck! Kendra

I would get thee to a doctor right away if you aren'y improving. Are you sure it isn't just allergies?

I was like that 2 weeks ago.  I went right to the doctor and got Avolx 400mg and it kicked it right out.  I also have surgery on 9/10.  GO TO THE DOCTORS STAT!

I was originally scheduled to have surgery on February 6th 2007 I was sick with a cold for about 1 week and a half prior to my surgery date.  My surgeon had me get checked out 2 dsys before surgery and it ended up that I had strep throat.  My surgery was cancled for another month.  Please go get checked out tomorrow asap. Very same thing happened to me My surgery was scheduled for Aug 28 an I caught a cold the week before I had to go into the office the day before my surgery and he decided to postpone my surgery for a month. With such a risky surgery its best to go in at tip top shape.

Drink lots of Vitamin C and take Zinc pills you can get them over the counter in the vitamin section of your pharmacy.  Hope you feel betteer and best of luck to you for your upcoming surgery.
