GOOD MORNING MARYLAND

Hi everybody! Happy Labor Day weekend to all! Is anyone doing anything exciting ?his weekend? My kids start school Tuesday, so we're putting the last minute touches on everything. . . hair appointment, packing bookbags, gym bags, shopping for healthy lunches. . .(Fun? - sarcastic emphasis added) The weather seems to be getting a little cooler in the mornings. Where did summer go? Why is it the older we get, the shorter the days are? Pretty soon I'm going to wake up to learn that I lost a whole day somewhere. Weight loss is going pretty well. I was at a short stall and then lost 3 more lbs. I refuse to weigh myself everyday; I'm done with setting myself up for aggravation. Now, I try to weigh myself every week or other week. Time to get myself in gear. Hugs to all! ~~ Trish

I am planning on being a pool bum all weekend.  Laundry is done and now for R&R.   Today there is a Mexican theme at the pool. Sunday is watermelen ruggby, so fun. Monday is beer chicken and lots of fun for the last day. This also the last weekend to eat my face off. I also plan to get some exercise in the pool with some laps. Hope everyone has a good Holiday weekend. Hugs Kristen

A little late, but wanted to get my two cents out there.  This AM picked up my son and girlfriend at BWI.  Beautiful morning, but a tad chilly.  The top on the convertible did not come down!!  We grabbed my other two kids at home, and all headed out to breakfast.  They had a buffet bar, and although I hate to pay the price, I ordered the bar.  Never even finished the first plate.  Total waste of money, but the socializing was well worth it.  Now laying low.  Have to get daughter to work very soon.  Sunday, heading to Lake Anna in VA.  Lots of water fun and sports.  It's a family birthday get-together, and that's always nice.  I'm responsible for desserts.  Going to make sugar free banana pudding with sugar free cool whip.  Also chunking up some cantalope and watermelon.  That should be plenty, plus something that I can have.  Will visit with my son a little on Monday, then drop him and girlfriend back off at BWI headed for Boston.  Hope everyone's day is going great.  Stay on track. Hey Trish, Just a bit behind here .. it's 5:15 on Monday and the weekend is about done.   I took Friday off from work because I had some doctor stuff to take care of that took up the a.m. then I ran to Sam's club to pick up some things for the weekend.   We headed out for Woodbine with the RV about 3:30.    We had a fun and relaxing weekend in the woods with my sister and her hubby and son.   The plan was that we were going to sit around and watch videos on the outside TV, until we discovered that the DVD player outside is not working  ..  So we hung out and just read and enjoyed the outdoors.   Sat night we did hang out inside and watched CARS (my sis had never seen it).   Yesterday was more of the same except that we watched Blazing Saddles last night (my almost 14 y/o nephew had never seen that ..) We are home and things pretty much unpacked.   I'm going to enjoy this 'last' night of summer and then start planning our trip to Boston next week. Hope you had a good one. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
