Psyc Eval Recommendations

Hi All, I have a consult in September and I am trying to set up an appointment for my psyc evaluation. Does anyone have any recommendations for a PhD or MD? Should my eval be done before the consult or after. I did call one pychiatrist and they said I had to have my consult first. Just curious if this is the case for everyone. Thanks for the advice! At my consult, I was given a list of tests etc to have done. That list included namesof psychs for the eval. I'd wait for the consult.

Theres a Phyciatrist in Prince Frederick named Dr. Neal, I don't have his number but he does them all the time.  Is this close to you?

When I went to see Dr. S for my consult I had already done my psych eval. They are okay with someone not of their chosing. They did want me to see their nut though. Since I live 3 hours from Bayview, I did my nut consultation on the afternoon of my consult with Dr. S.  They did not require me to have any other testing except for the pre-op stuff like Chest xray, blood work and EKG. Thank you Jo, I may pursue a psych consult and try to schedule my nut appointment on the same day. I have a visit with my PCP before my consult with Dr. S, I wonder if I could get the bloodwork done when I visit my PCP? I hope you are doing well!! Amy
