Yes me to. I did have that last meal. But what is really funny is that I don't miss all that stuff I was eating before. I am 18 months out and I can eat a big varity of things. Just not as much. I am sitting here eating  HOT Wasabi Peas. I have never had trouble with hot stuff. My friend that had surgery the day before me had a really hard time the first couple of months. But after that no problem. She has lost almost 130 pounds and she doesn't miss a thing. So don't worry. It will all be worth it.... Ellie

Kristen, I feel you pain.  Being a Ragin' Cajun -- we love our spicy foods and when I started eating the puree foods, I'd put a drop or two of Texas Pete in the mix and when I started eating whole foods I'd buy the hot hormel chili.  Pre-op I'd put Jalapeno peppers in my salad; tried that a time or two post-op but decided against it.  Now the Pre-op last meal.  I've heard people go on cruises for their last meal -- even though they may gain a pound or two -- some make a big bang out of it. My last meal before surgery -- I love hamburgers -- especially Fuddruckers and Five Guys.  So I had a dilemma -- which one to go to.  Well since Fuddruckers have the Oreo Cookie Shake -- that's where I had my "last" meal.  I can remember it like it was yesterday that was a great burger.  The weight loss medication my doctor had me on for 6 months kinds took away the taste for french fries so I didn't eat many of those. Also, weeks leading up to the surgery, I'd also feel a little sick after eating but I think it was more mental than anything.   I'd been talking to my stomach so I think it was reacting in anticipation of what was to come.  It's happy now and so am I.
