What a week.....
One of those up and down type things where you convince youself that the upswing outweighs the downswing....I went to Richmond last weekend for a wedding (for an old highschool friend) A beautiful, wonderful evening with old friends. I even tried my first sip of champagne since surgery and didn't do anything stupid (that I've heard of --- yet, anyway ;) ) Got home to find that there was a huge storm Saturday that sent a surge through my house and I am in the process of dealing with utilities, insurance adjusters, and repair folks for quite a few things. Have a couple other pretty crappy things going on personally and at work, but...and I mean a BIG BUT.......I hit my 100# mark on Wednesday! (couldn't post this then because my home computer fried in said storm) . WOW - 100# in 8 months - a dream come true!!!
I'm getting back into the school routine. Sue is doing great. Did lots of traveling over the summer, and now putting the brakes on. We met with a group in Prince Frederick last weekend. Very nice having it close to home!! Can't make anymore meetings. My run doesn't end until too late. Might try the group in White Plains. They start at 7PM, which will be more workable this year. Hoping that someone gets one started down our way - hint, hint!! Will mis you guys and will try my hardest to get to some of the weekend shindigs. Take it easy.

Dealing with that stuff can be stressful .. we had a tree come through the front window (fortunately ONLY the window and not the roof/house) a couple of years ago and I remember how involved that was. Your situation sounds more stressful than mine was. Hope you get it all fixed back up quickly and without too much trauma & drama.
The 100 pounds is a great achievement .. congrats !!!
Best wishes as the journey continues.
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Ok, so what kind of reaction did you get at the reception Miss Century Club member? Were these people you still see from time to time? I hope you flaunted the new you.
I hope things return to normal or at least as close to it as possible quickly.
Mark, who is never far from a liquid meal substitute these days.
The groom at this wedding is a friend from high school, and I saw about 9 people that I graduated with (uhhh, a "few" years ago") I generally see this gang once a year at a holiday party, so the reaction was pretty nice. I have to admit, it felt good to wear a dress and actually LIKE how it looked, rather than having settled for it because it was acceptable for public viewing! :)
