Good morning all! Hope everyone had a fun weekend!   It's nice that the humidity has let up some today.  I heard that we are in for a nice week ... I peeked at the weather for the upcoming long weekend and it looks sunny so far!   That's good for us since we are going out with the RV and my sister and brother in law and nephew are coming along to camp in a tent. We both got new glasses this weekend.   No huge change, the old frames were Anne Klein .. 1/2 frames .. and the new frames are Anne Klein 1/2's also.  The original plan was just to get new lenses, but Lenscrafters was having a 50% off lens sale .. and it would have cost as much to get just my lenses as the whole deal.    I was up and off to the gym at 4:45 a.m.   Did my 35 minutes of cardio.   Last week I slacked a tlittle.   I skipped out on Tues & Thursday so there was no weight training only the M-W-F cardio.   This week I've got to get up on Tuesday & Thursday.  I 'might' skip out on the cardio on Friday a.m. tho. I've got a busy week here.  Have things to finish up and I'm taking Friday off.   I've got to go for a KUB and then have a urologist follow up appointment at 11.   Then I'll run do my weekend grocery shopping and go home and get the RV ready to leave when Mr Mo gets home. What's up in your world? Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Mo -  I was going to pm you, but since I saw you on here this a.m., thought I'd let you know.  We lost Molly the Beagle on Thursday.  On Wednesday, she was acting very lethargic, throwing up, diarrhea, hard to walk, etc., so Mom took her to the family vet.  They x-rayed her and found a bleeding tumor in her stomach.  We rushed her in critical condition to the pet ER, where they immediately gave her IV fluids to stabilize her and did an ultrasound on Thursday.  We were praying the tumor would be on her spleen, but alas, it was on her liver, and since it was bleeding, had a 98% chance of being malignant.  They also said that since it was bleeding, the cancer would most likely have spread.  So after $3,000 and much soul searching, the vet said she was in pain and we decided to do what was right for my poor sweet Molly Ann (yes, she had a middle name!).  Mom & I stayed with her, and it was very quick and peaceful.  There was no spark in her eyes or wag in her tail, and even though I knew it was for the best, it was truly the MOST horrible thing I've ever gone through. Needless to say, I'm hating life right now, but I just wanted to let you know. Tia

(((( Tia ))))  I'm in tears for you right now.   I know how tough a decision that was for you.   Of my two boys, Lefty's always been the more special to me but that didn't lesson the pain of losing Poncho last year a bit.    Thinking of you and if you need a shoulder it's right here! Hugs, Mo

Thanks, Mo.  I just don't know what we're gonna do without our smiling Molly.  If I could find a man who races around the coffee table when I come home like Molly did, I'd be a happy girl. Tia

Hey, You might get lucky and find one who wags his tail too!  hehehe. I'm so sorry to hear about Molly...I think most of us have been been there.  Those little furballs wrap themselves around our hearts and we're gone.  Even after almost 10 years with my cat and 18 years with my dog I still miss them so much.  I have ALOT of good memories of both of them and ya know, they make me smile more than the pain of losing them now.   I won't give ya the cliche about time healing all wounds...I know it hurts.  Go ahead and indulge yourself, but don't stay down for too long, life's too short!!!  Besides, if ya stay down, ya might miss that great guy that is out there for you (and yes, if I can find one you can too!) Love ya, T

Take Care,
Terry

Thanks, honey!  Time heals all, which is a good thing, because we're hurting right now.  Although my head knows the right thing, my heart's been ripped out.  She was such a good girl, she surely has wings right now!  Mom says she's my guardian puppy.  A nice thought, but I'd rather have her here.  Oh Tia I am so sorry for you loss.   It is definitely the most hardest thing to do I have been there.  I am just sitting here in tears.  I hope and pray you and your Mom's heart heal soon. ((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Thanks, Cira!  Today was hard - she was always at the bottom of the steps when I came down in the morning - often, she was just sprawled on the floor and I would have to step wide to get over her, because Molly moved for no one!!!!  She was such a joy to have in our lives and leaves a huge hole in my heart.
