Support Groups in Anne Arundel County

Hi, I am currently scheduled for my RNY on August 30, 2007 with Dr. Kligman at University of Maryland. I live in AA county and do not want to drive to Baltimore each month (in rush hour traffic) to attend his support group so I was wondering if anyone knows of any support groups locally. Hi Gina, Read my response to Melanie I posted about our support meeting is at the Crofton Library. Come and you will meet the most wonderful OH ladies over there. I can't wait to see you there.

Hi Melanie,

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I want to welcome you to the MD forum and wish you an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.

We do have a support group that is held at the Crofton Library. Full of wonderful supportive people.

The next meeting will be on Monday September 10th starting at 6pm and ending at 8pm. If you can not make it to that one the next one will be October 4th 6pm to 8pm.

Thanks Cira I will try to make that one. Thanks for letting me know. I don't have a lot of support right now from friends so it will be nice to have others that have been through the journey or will be taking it with me.

Melanie, That's wonderful i can't wait to see you. If it wasn't for these wonderful people I wouldn't have made this far. I had gotten the most wonderful support and I love them all like family. You will definitely enjoy spending time with us. Take care
