Psych Consult, Baltimore Area

Hi again, and thanks for the warm welcome! I already have a question :-).  I'm in Northern Baltimore County, and need info for my psych consult. The list that Dr. Moeinimolki provided only gave me names outside of my area. His partner, Dr. Von Rueden has a list with other names, closer to my area.  Does anyone who used this practice know if they require the consult be done by a MD or PHD?  Can a LCSW or PNP perform it?  Is there a form to be filled out?  Does anyone have the name of someone they used for their consult?  I met a great gal when I went for my sleep study who gave me the phone number of the person that she used, who Dr. Von Reuden had recommended, but I lost the phone number :-(.

Do you have the list still?  Go to Ranessa McNally!   She is great no forms to fill out and she is a RNY post op patient which helps because she understands how we feel.  If you need her number let me know. By the way welcome to the board!  I had Dr. Von Rueden he did my RNY. he & his partner are great!

Welcome!!1 Contact DVR's office and ask for the list again. I had DVR as my surgeon. He is fantastic. Dr. Moen is great as well not to mention perfect eye candy!!1 :)

Another positive thing about Ranessa:  Its like sitting and talking to a friend:  Shes Been here and Done It.  Shes LCSW.  She also told me she could have gotten the insurance company to pay for the consult  (Unfortunatly I had been To Shepard Pratt $250.00 )   I don't hae her # with me but try Yellow pages .com  shes in reisterstown

Hi Kathy - I will second what everyone has said about DVR/Dr. Moen, they're wonderful.  As for Ranessa, you couldn't ask for a better therapist - it's like sitting with a girlfriend, except you have to pay her and she doesn't have wine!!!! Hi Kathy,

Sounds like you have plenty of input on this. I will share two quick things. I had a very poor experience with the Easley group. She is listed in the pre-op book, or was. Eventually, I found Kim Cook who has an office right near 695 and Harford Rd. She was great, seemed interested, and worked to get the form the office wants filled out over the 4th of July hoiliday for me. Can't ask for more. Her number is 410 882-1988.

Thanks Mark!  I will keep that handy.  I got referred to a great therapist by my company EAP. I called the office to make sure she was OK and none of the nurses or Rose can tell me if she will be accepted.  I go in on Wed. for my 2nd visit, and will ask Dr. Moein.  If my therapist isn't OK to use, I'll call Kim Cook for sure.  I also asked them if there was a form, and they said NO.  How can that be? Again, will have to ask in person.  I love the Dr. and all, but the practice never seems to know what each other is doing. I only have one more test to do, Arterial Blood Gas.  Yup, I know it's gonna hurt :-(.  But, I'm well on my way.
