today I got a call and a message on  my machine, that all my bloodwork was normal, and my dr. wants me to follow up with an endocrinologist to see if they can determine if there is a reason as to why I am eating so little and still not loosing.  So should I call and say no- and just tell him I want to do the WLS, or do you think that the endocrinologist is a good step anyway? I mean if all my bloodwork is normal then why go, but if they can't find a reason, then maybe that would be a positive thing for the insurance when we submit for approval right?  I really do appreciate all the help I have gotten here, It means so much coming from those who have been or are on this journey .

I would go. Endocrinologists see things very differently. i started to see one last winter. I was so impressed with how comprehensive he was at my first visit.

I would go anyway.  Just make sure to tell your PCP that you need a referral to have a consult with a bariatric surgeon.  Make sure to empower yourself to be proactive in what you want done for your health.  Weight loss surgery is like the last option after you have tried everything. Atleast he can not say you have not tried everything. Wishing you all the best.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
