Hello from Southern MD

Welcome to the MD board, Melissa! My advice - stay positive, don't stress the little things, and jump through any hoops they (doc's and insurance) request. Stay organized, and get names, dates and phone numbers when you talk to people. Make copies of all paperwork you happen to be dealing with. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Best of luck on your journey! TraciL

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Welcome aboard from another SoMDer! I am amazed at the number of SoMDers there are on the site. And we've grown a lot just in my short time on the site. Please listen to everybody's input. The folks here have helped me soooo much and they sure know their stuff. They've been through it already. I would definitely start tasting and sampling all the protein powders and drinks. Find a couple you like now and life will be much easier post-op. There is another string talking about where to get samples. I suggest you read that info and get some yourself. --Eric Leonardtown, MD
