been a busy day...

SO I called DH's union hall today and talked to a lady in the health funds office. I discovered that indeed what I was told the other day was not the truth. I told them taht I was in the process of looking for a DR to have this surgery, and that one of the DR's had sent me a paper that had some questions to ask my ins co. She was very pleasant and did answer my questions. Looks like WLS is not excluded for those with a diagnosis of morbid obesity. But she did say that it had to be coded perfectly and all the papers sent in would be sent to a 3rd party called Natiowide better health. They would determine if I meet the medical nesecity or not.  So I welcome any advice on what I should get together for the DR on that one. I called to talk with my PCP, and I have looked at all the DR's websites. I will call Monday to sent up an Appt with DR. Roe. For some reason he is jumping out at me. So if anyone sees him, I also welcome info on what I should expect.  I also sat down with my DH and really laid it out to him, about my feelings and wanted to do this. He said he was behind me 100%!  I know that I still have a LONG way to go. But I think I finally feel at peace that I am finally starting to do something about this.

Sounds as if you're getting all your ducks in a row.  Stay strong, motivated and positive.  The journey to approval varies per individual.  Your's might flow smoothly or there might be some bumps.  Just jump through the hoops and you'll be having surgery before you know it.  Glad hubby is in your corner.  Keep us updated. Best wishes as your WLS journey continues. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
