Revision surgery scheduled!!

Well, it seems like it's been forever since I've posted.  But again, I'm still a little depressed that my 1st surgery failed, and that I haven't been losing weight.  The good news -- my second surgery is scheduled for August 7th, and hopefully I will be on the losing side again soon. Unfortunately, I haven't been adhering to the gastric bypass diet since I found out the first surgery failed.  I could blame it on depression, or whatever, but fortunately I haven't gained any of the weight back so far (but I also haven't lost anymore). This time my surgery will be at Georgetown, rather than GW.  I'm just praying all goes well. Kelly G.

Kelly, Best of luck as you begin again.    I think I would ask for a nice 8x10 color picture of the staple line this time !   :-)   Tell them you want it framed and matted and sitting next to your bed when you wake up... My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go through this for a second time.    Take care,

Dave
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Best wishes for a successful and uneventful surgery and a very speedy recovery! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
