Two Years

I don't want to get too sappy on this my two year Surgiversary, but I was just sitting here thinking how different my life is from two years ago.   I'm down 143lbs.  I went from wearing Size 30/32 tops and squeezing into 26/28 pants to wearing a size 12/14 pants (depending on the style of pant/jean) and size 14/16 top.  I went from not dating anybody to having a special, wonderful man in my life who loves me.  I went from being someone who would sit on the sidelines and hope nobody noticed what I looked like to really enjoying dressing and wearing makeup again.  I went from feeling hopeless to feeling hopeful.  I went from being tired and not feeling good all the time to having pretty much boundless energy.  I went from taking medications for high blood pressure, diabetes, water retention and frequent other maladies to taking zero medications.  I just can't describe how wonderful life is now.  I am so thankful for this surgery and the changes it's made in my life.  I'm thankful for all the wonderful friends I've made on this board.  I'm just so blessed.

Take Care,
Terry

What a great two years!!  I know the surgeries do a lot but they don't work in and of themselves.  You should be very proud of yourself.

Congratulations-Happy Surgiversary!!!! I can relate so much to what you said and I am not quite a year out yet.. This surgery has changed my life. It's not sappy it is just plain true, yet it is ok to feel sappy look at the huge changes. I am just in awww when I think where I have come from and where I am .I never dreamed it would be this good and I have a ways to go but I love where I have come too. Life is so different and so wonderful. I am so happy for you and share your joy for life. Have a great day. Happy Surgiversary!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Laurie

Terri - I love reading all your posts - you are so inspiring.  You are really what WLS is all about.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the inspiration you have given me, before and after surgery.  I'm almost ready for PS and I will be looking to you for more encouragement.  Thanks a bunch - be proud, you are beautiful!!  You deserve all the happiness in the world.  Hugs, linda
