well its been 5 days and o much as happened.  First let me start by saying that everything went great.  I am now at my mom's resting.  I went to the mall yesterday and walked for a while.  Trying to get my exercise in.  Today I went to my nephews birthday party and walked somemore.  The walking seems to help with the pain.  Everyone seems to think that I should be relaxing but it easier for me to walk.  Even in the hospial, I was up walking around throughout the middle of the night.  THe nurse kept asking me if something was wrong, and all I could say was no, it just felt better to walk.  I got on the scale today and lost 11lbs since my last weigh in (6/29) so I guess the pro-op diet worked.  Anyway just wanted to let everyone know that  I am ok and things went great.

Hey Karen, Best wishes for a continued speedy recovery!   Walking is a good thing .. keep it up. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Welcome home!  I agree, walking is a big help.  It just hurts a little to get upright, but then feels so much better than laying around.  I'm so glad that you came through everything well.   Take good care, Elaine (LaineyB)

Great to hear.  I'm two days out now and and feeling pretty good too.  I also walked while in the hospital, albeit really slow.   When I weighed in just before my surgery, I was complately amazed because I had lost 20 lbs on my pre-surgery diet.  I would have never thought that in a million years. I was also wearing clothes when I weighed in so it was probably a little more than that.

Hey Karen - Glad to hear everything went smoothly!  Yep, walking makes a huge difference.  In fact, walking, sipping and resting is the best thing you can do for yourself.  Your body (and mind) have been through a lot, and you need to take care of both! Keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the loser's bench, Teresa (Tia)

Hi Karen, Glad to hear your surgery went well!  How are you feeling?  I met with Arlene last week - so I just started my 6 month weight loss stuff. Were you happy with Dr. Singh? Take care!
