Welcome Back, Friday!!
Hi Wanda,
They never specifically told me to stop the calcium other than I had to cut out all vitamins/supplements for 7 days prior to the two procedures. I just never started taking the calcium again after that. That was more my doing, since my stones MAY be calcium based. Dr K had told me in April that we would find a way to work around the calcium since he recognized that I definitely need to be taking it post WLS.
I'm not in any pain whatsoever with the current situation, so all systems are go until I have another attack! Once they get a handle on the stones though it will be easier to manage them. I am pretty sure they will be a fact of life from here on out though the NP said there are some things that can possibly be done to keep them from forming in my kidneys.
Getting ready to blast off for Hagerstown here!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
