Well, I'm really trying to get back in the swing of things after a whole month!   I grudgingly dragged my shrinking butt out of bed at 4:32 this a.m. and got dressed and tottered off to the gym!    Tuesday would normally be a weight day, but I stuck with the treadmill.   Today I played with the incline, did some at 3.5, 4.0 5.0 and 6.0 inclines at between 3.0 and 3.2 mph.   I'll be back to my 8.0 incline by Friday .. I hope!!! With the stent out I feel so much better!  I am being careful not to overdo it, but .. I'm beginning to forget how miserable I was feeling which is a good thing. Have a wonderful Tuesday !!! Hugs, Mo

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... I can't believe that you were up that early in the morning - much less on your way to the gym.  Most Impressive!!

I was really slow to get on the 'exercise' thing (over 2 1/2 years post ope before I started a regular routine), but once I started with the gym the beginning of last December I really got into it.   My goal was to go 2 to 3 nights per week and Saturday a.m.   When I added weight/strength training to my cardio, I just didn't have enough time in the evening and right after New Years's the gym was mobbed at 5 p.m. and I was finding that I had other demands on my time and it was tough to get to the gym when I wanted to go.  SOOOOO .. I started the 5 a.m. routine.  I wasn't doing anything at 5 a.m. but sleep anyway!!!  I was already getting up by 5:30 for work, so I just cranked it back an hour .. I get to the gym between 4:45 and 4:50 usually.   That gives me about 40 to 45 minutes and I can be home and getting ready for work in the same time frame that I was before. I am just getting back to the gym this week after a full month off.   While I had the kidney/bladder stent doing anything was an effort.  I was very uncomfortable with it in.  I figure if I can get through this week I'll be back on the wagon and it won't be so tough to get my feet on the floor at 4:30 a.m. Hugs, Mo

Bonnie, I have never had an 'energy' problem since my surgery (other than feeling dragged down with the kidney stones) but it did take me a while to get on the exercise wagon.  If I had it to do all over again, I would have joined a gym MUCH sooner and been 2 1/2 years ahead!!!   Hugs, Mo

Congrats, Mo for getting back into it. I really need to get exercising regularly. Well, after I get my kidney stone problems behind me.  I go for the KUB x-ray today and the lithotripsy tomorrow. I admit I am nervous about the procedure. I know I will live, just don't want to go through it. Have a great day! Wanda

Wanda, Good luck tomorrow!   The lithotripsy was no big deal to me.   The doctor had said I might feel a bit 'bruised' on the day after, but I had like a pinpoint spot and no 'hurt' afterwards at all.

Hugs, Mo

Mo, I'm glad to hear you're "back on the exercise wagon".  I'm waiting to get clearance from my doctor before I go back.  Now I just need to find time in my busy social life with McSweetie (to go to the gym) and I'll have it made!  hehe Have a wonderful day!

Take Care,
Terry

Terry, I would suggest the early a.m. but I know you already go to the office WAY too early for me so that wouldn't work for you.   When I was trying to go to the gym after work I found that it cut into my evening time with Mr Mo.  Since he heads to bed sometimes as early as 7 p.m. we had no time together some nights! Maybe you should/could enlist McSweetie as a gym partner and y'all could go together? Hugs, Mo
