A year Ago Today

Ok so Today is my one year surgiversary. I cannot believe it has been a year. So many things popped in my head this morning when I woke up. Remembering the morning all over again. Waking up and getting ready, my mom and stepdad arriving at my house to go with us, my husband telling me he loved me the whole way to the hospital and how proud he was of me for not giving up when my insurance company prior kept giving me the run around (then our insurance changed and they approved me right away) checking into the hospital and getting hooked up and meeting the team who would be beside Dr Magnuson. I remember waking up and my family being there and one of my best friends. I am so lucky to have the support in my life that has helped me thru this whole thing. My support group that started back in September and the wonderful people who I have met during this. I could not have done it without you guys. So far I have lost a total of 165 pounds and I am so proud. I still would like to loose 80 to 95 pounds. Especially by next July (I know I can do it by then) My husband and I have decided for sure we are going to start our Family next July. This was the one reason I had the surgery and cant wait to have that dream come true. I am having fun practicing with my daycare baby I have she is 4 months old and just adorable. I want to thank all of you for your support and love. Thank you

Wow congradulations Kelly. You give me hope and strength. May more good things come for you. I tear'd up a lil bit because we have a lot in common (Starting a family) on major issues for the surgery. Thanks for being able to share your motivational success.

Kelly, How exciting to have come this far. Your weight loss of 165 pounds is amazing. I know you must feel great and will continue to feel better and better.  You are a good supporter of this board and I want to thank you for all you do planning many of our events. I know it's not an easy thing pulling it all together.  Keep up the good work and walk proud. You deserve it! Wanda

Kelly, Happy anniversary! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
