Wrong side of the Beltway??

Good Morning All; Good news, I found Weigh****chers documentation for 3 months! Second appt with PCP this Thursday, one more to go then resubmit. I didn't know the "Managed" program could be "within" the last TWO years.  Hang on to your hats ladies and gentlemen, I'm comming in for a landing! For those of you who send prayers for my Mom and her battle with Ovarian Cancer...... Her report last week was not what we'd hoped for. The masses are larger, and she is having a stent put in today because they fear the left kidney will shut down. She has a CAT scan tomorrow, and a real possibility of surgery to try and remove as much of the masses as possible. This will mean a colostimy (sp?) bag.  Through this process however we will always be "mindful", and never loose site of her quality of life. A sidebar... Am I on the wrong side of the Beltway??? Is anyone seeing Dr. Barry Greene at Shady Grove Hospital??? I wondered if there was anyone toward the Frederick way. Kristy

There's more docs up in Baltimore.... Which really isn't that far.. I went to Dr. Schweitzer. He does the 3 surgeries.. (Band,Rny, DS)

 

I am seeing Dr Greene. I went to his seminar a couple weeks ago. I am trying to come up with the $500 to make the app with him.

Hi "Mommy"! Have you dealt with any of his staff yet? Mostly great... a couple not so much! Very pleased with Dr. Greene so far. Trust me by the time you get all your testing done (one day I had 5 appointments!) you will feel sooo ready! I have only been to the seminar. They were talkng about insurance and I told him that mine doesnt require a 6 month diet and his insurance specialist spoke up and "umm yeah they do...I dont care who you takled to ...it doesnt matter WHAT THEY told you...they want a diet"  The ***** really pissed me OFF!!!  I have it in a email from TRICARE MANAGERand NO they DONT want a diet....I c see Im gona have a time wit her...lol

She is a piece of work!!! She won't even return emails. I might have to B@#$h Slap her before this whole process is done! And they call her an "Insurance Specialist"!!!! Keep in touch!Kristy

Kristy, I'll keep your Mom in my prayers.  Cancer is a wicked thing.  Hoping that it's something that I never have to deal with.  That's great about discovering the 3 months of weight loss documentation.  Let us know how submitting it goes.   TraciL
