St. Agnes
I have BCBS/Federal. Actually Dr Singh's office did all of the work, I just provided the 2 year med history and updated lab work. My endocronologist intially made me see the dietitian that is in his office, so along with the medical history it included the dietitian visits and history from his office as well. Although I did not need it, it just proved that I was on sometype of supervised program since I had been seeing him.
Hi & welcome
I had my lapband done at St. Agnes by Dr. Singh on June 1st. I go back to Dr. Singh for my first fill on Thursday. The OR staff was wonderful, but he staff on the floor left alot to be desired. Due to co-morbidities, I was required to stay overnight. It was not a bad experience, but as I am in healthcare, I could tell the standard was not being met on the floor. The OR staff were wonderful as I said and my recovery was a breeze. I'm not sure about the monitored weight loss with the dietician, as I had 6 months with Nurtisystem (what a waste of money) and did not have to do any additional. Post op my only pain was at the portal site. It was just a pulling/burning pain which got better each day. You cannot feel the actual band inside your body, just the restriction you get from the creation of the pouch. Take care and best wishes.
