REPEAT PLEASE!!!
I need your help.... Someone on the board said they sent copies of their cancelled checks and part of their proof. I have copies of my bank statements cancelled checks. Is that acceptable?
Also a question on the appeals process... I have emailed the surgeons "Insurance Specialist" twice and still no response. Can I appeal the decision WHILE I'm in the midst of the "Managed Weight Loss" documentation? Do I only have ONE appeal per decision? I'm a little fuzzy....
I hope someone can help. I have CF BC BS(PPO)

Let me start off by saying that I have no answers. What I do want to say is that I have not even been denied, yet and I have all the same questions, frustrations and concerns as you. I feel like this insurance process is some sort of "test." If we can get through getting it covered, the surgery and lifestyle changes will be a breeze, comparatively!! Good luck and share any ifo you learn from this process with the rest of us, please!

My Cardiologist said "Insurance companies are Evil"!!!!! I have gone too far with this process to let them defeat me! It has become a test of determination. I WILL WIN!! No matter what I have to do, some "suit" behind a desk is not going to control or judge me. They need to walk a mile in our shoes.
Don't give up. If you know 100% in your heart this is the right thing for you, and you are ready, plow full stream ahead.
