I am having surgery in 2weeks. Are you allowed overnight quests at this hospital? On the main board alot are saying no. I am very curious to know. Thank you

Hey Bonnie, I was allowed a overnight guest at GBMC.  There were two beds in my room and the second bed was offered to my guest, who stayed both nights with me.

I totally agree about the night nurses. If my sister had not have been there i don't know what I would have done. To be perfectly honest, I was disappointed with all but 3 of the nurses that attended me when i was in the hospital. Most of the techs were great though.

Hi Bonnie, I had my surgery at GBMC and like the other lady said we had an extra bed in our room for our guest that can stay with you overnight and all day too.  I do suggest you have someone with you at night anyway cause there is a  couple of nurses at night that disappear and it makes it a living hell.  The daytime nurses are awesoem and are always there when you need them. Good luck with your surgery in two weeks.

Like the others have said, yes. The problem is my hubby would not use the bed and dozed off and on in the chair. Same thing this hospital trip.  Men!

My daughter stayed over both nights with me, we also had an extra bed in the room that she used.  Make sure that someone stays with you it's very helpful.  Dr. Roe is the best and your in good hands.  Hope you've been able to attend the support meetings.  Good luck with the surgery
