Big Medicine

Good Morning, Although I'm still a big fan of the show, imo it has become obvious the outcomes are quite "Hollywood-tized" . For all the time the camera crews must spend with patients, very little of the negatives are depicted. Last night was one of the closest I've seen with the insurance company denial patient ( I'm terrible with names) and the Psyche having a down to earth conversation about the future.  On the national OH forum, Ramon, who is an OH'er is quite popular. I really liked how he was portrayed. Fame, no matter how brief isn't going to change him much. Love to hear others thoughts.  Mark

I didn't see last nights show.  I recorded it so I can watch it tonight.  It is true though that all of these shows (I love the DHC's Plastic Surgery: Before & After show) "hollywood-tize" the outcomes.  That's television though.  I did see last weeks where Rose was denied surgery.  It was very sad to see that happen.   I might weigh in more after seeing the show from last night...

I tivo mine so I will have to see tonight and post about it later. I didn't know that Ramon was in the show.  Now I really have to see it. I felt awful for her.

I love the show and everything about it. I was sad to see marc get denied by his insurance and have to go home. i really felt his pain and hope next week they show something about what has happened. its about time they showed some good things about this surgery and not all about addiction transfers and stuff
