Just checking in......
I just wanted to check in with ya'all and say hello. I finally have received some what of a decision about my job.....we received a 90 day bridge contract.....so when September 30 arrives, it is decision day. At least that gives me a couple of months to scrounge and save some more just in case we are closed down.
I dont really think any of you guys live close to me, but just in case you do or you may know someone that does, I am sending out a request. The organization that I am employed with is seeking Board members. We are a small 5 county wide non profit, 501c3 organization that serves adult mental health consumers. Actually, what makes us unique is we are a peer group. Everyone employed has in the past or is receiving mental health services. It is a very unique program. For those of you from the western shore, you may be familiar with On Our Own of Maryland, which is the mother organization. Anyways.....our Board meets once a month, in the evenings. It is a great program to be involved with. We are currently seeking Board members who are consumers, family members, or professionals. We have 5 vacancies right now. If anyone is interested or may know someone who would be interested , please send me a message!
As far as my WL journey.....I have dropped another 3 pounds during my 6 month supervised diet.....my re-scheduled appointment with Dr. Singh is in August. I am still excited! This is the time of year I love.........fresh fruits and veggies......it is also the time of year my teens hate because of that! Tonights dinner is a variety of grilled veggies....squash, zucchini, corn, tomatoes.........YUMMY! My oldest daughter works for Rita's Italian Ice and they have some great SF flavors I have grown to like.
Well I am off to finish a calendar for work! Everyone have a great week and I will check nback soon!
Missin ya guys!

Hi Heather!
Good luck with the job. That has to be 'scary' not knowing what is going to happen for sure.
I love fruits and veggies, but I need someone to fix them for me!!! I have just never been really good with eating either if I have to buy and fix them myself I do manage to make myself a salad with nice leafy romaine most every day, but that's about my limit on fixing!
Hugs, Mo
Heather, that's great the the job is secure for a while longer. Also kudos on the weight loss. You're getting there. We have a "On Our Own" in Calvert County. Always wondered what it was about. Keep eating those veggies and fruits. You're on a roll!!
