Hi All, I have had a couple of folks ask when I will be bringing my telescopes back to The Cow in Reisterstown. Well..sorry for the short notice but I will be there tonight (Wednesday - 6/20) from 6 to 10pm.    I will also be there on Saturday (6/23) from 7 to 11pm and Saturdy (7/7) from 7 to 11pm. If you want to know what the Cow is, check out some of the earlier posts (there are directions and more info!). Enjoy and Clear Skies,

Dave
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Sorry I missed it last night! I was at Sinai for the post op group. I was going to stop on my way home, but went by the Vitamine Shoppe in Owings Mills for some products, and it got way late for a work night!   Were you able to see really neat stuff?

Had a good night.   We looked at a blank sun (absolutely no activity****il it went behind the trees around 7:20 or so.   Then we looked at the moon until Saturn came out around 9:15 or so.   Then it was Saturn/Venus/Moon/Jupiter for the rest of the night.   I would switch between planets and the moon about every 10 minutes. We also got to see the space shuttle and International Space Station, flying in formation (the shuttle un docked from the station earlier in the day) around 9:20 or so.   We also got to see the sun flare off of an Iridium Sattelite about 9:30.    Talked to about 65 kids and roughly the same number of teens and adults.   I was supposed to pack up around 10 but it was much closer to 11:15 before I finally got out of there.   I will be back on Saturday night, but the weather is not looking quite so good. Thanks,

Dave

Hi Darla, Sorry about that...I missed you post on Saturday. I will be back at the Cow on Saturday July 7th and then later in the month.    The Cow is in Reisterstown.   It is on Main Street right across from Franklin Middle School.    If you directions from a specific location, send me a private message and I will get you there.

Since you could not find the older posts, the magic here is not really the telescope but the Sugar Free/Fat Free frozen yogurt.   A kids sized cup has no sugar and no fat and about 45 calories.  It is a nice treat! Thanks,

Dave

I wasn't able to make it last weekend and the 7th is not good because I will probably still be in GBMC:  Surgury date is July 5th!!!!!!!!!  I am so excited! Anyway will definatly try and make it later in July or August.  The yogurt will probably be a real treat by then
