Gang I'm trying to get back into the swing of things after the kidney stent and lithotripsy procedures last week.   I haven't had the 'energy' to go to the gym and I really need to work on that even if it's only to walk on the treadmill for 30 or 40 minutes so that I don't get out of my routine!!!  I am still 'uncomfortable' with the stent, but it's not as 'pinchy' as it felt initially.   The doctor said the lithotripsy went well on Thursday.   I haven't seen any real evidence of stones passing, it's more like grains of sand so nothing to really 'capture' for them to analyze.   I go back July 3rd for another X-ray and follow up for them to see what is going on in the right kidney. Mr Mo and I spent a large part of the weekend in the RV.   We were only in the driveway and the slides weren't out, so we didn't have a lot of room, but at least we were 'using' it .   We ran a cable from the garage to the RV to hook the satellite dish into the RV so we could watch non-air TV stuff.   I guess you could say the RV was a REALLY expensive way to get an HD TV .    We made some plans to go out a few weekends (to head to the dirt track in Hagerstown) and sure enough, Mr Mo called me yesterday a.m. to check on the weekends I wanted to go out and it looks like he may have conflicts work wise..   I guess we will just have to wait and see and maybe just do things on the spur of the moment!!!  Or spend quality time in the driveway . Welcome aboard to all the newbies that have posted recently.  I have tried to say welcome to each but in case I've missed you .. let me say you've found a wonderful source of support on the OH site and on the Maryland board in particular. Hugs, Mo

Hi Mo! Glad to hear the lithotripsy and stent placement went well.  Is the stent a permanent thing or just til the stones/sand passes?  I hope they get to the bottom of this soon and you're pain free.  I haven't been given the go ahead to exercise yet, but I plan to once I get that.  I think they'll release me for exercise after six weeks (so I've got 2 more to go).  I hope you and Mr. Mo get to enjoy the RV (outside of the driveway) this summer. I'm doing okay.  I had to go to the Dr. last Friday and again this Monday (after discovering on Friday that I had fluid collecting in my abdomen that she had to drain off).  I'm not in debilitating pain, but there is a certain amount of discomfort that will go away with time.  I'd still do this again in a heartbeat! Well, my butt is telling me it's time to get off of this chair and back up to the "comfy" spot, so I'll say good-bye for now. A wonderful day to you and to everybody else!

Take Care,
Terry

Terry, How wonderful to see you 'up and at em' so to speak!!!  Sounds like you are doing great.  Can't wait to see you soon. The stent is just until everything passes then it will be removed.  I'm not so sure that given a choice I wouldn't have had the lithotripsy without the stent!!!  I'm getting 'used' to it, but I'm still sort of crampy with it.  So far, it's been sand that passes so nothing to capture for them to analyze (though I'm not carrying my strainer with me to work sooooo .. I might pass a larger piece and miss it )

I have made reservations for us to go to Woodbine (to the usual campground) over Labor Day weekend.   I was going to be adventurous and try some where different but my first choice was already booked up, so I went with the old standby.  That reminds me, I need to call and confirm because the woman I talked to on Saturday seemed a bit 'vague'. Hugs & smoochies, Mo

Hi Mo, I've been reading your posts for some time and am always encouraged and interested by your posts.  I am kind of new.  I just had my RNY with Dr. Schweitzer on May 10th.  So far, so great!  I just wanted to say 'hi'.  I see you are a real Nascar fan.  I think I am finally getting that energy where I am ready to take on new things.  Take care and keep up the encouraging posts!  ~~  Trish

Trish! Thanks!   At the moment I don't feel much like an encouragement but posts like yours keep my spirit up.   I'll be much happier once I get back into my 5 a.m. gym routine and stop feeling cranky and sorry for myself and my kidney stones! Best wishes as your WLS journey continues.   You are in for the ride of your life. Hugs, Mo

Aime, I've been here just keeping a low profile.  Not a whole lot of energy yet, but I'm working on it!  Gonna try for the gym in the a.m. Hugs, MO
