Am I dreaming?
Is this a dream or what? I saw Dr Schweitzer yesterday for my 7 month check up and I swear I feel like I'm dreaming. I lost 82 pounds in 7 months and I only have 5 more pounds to go to be at my goal. I just can't believe it! After the visit, I went to the car and burst into tears, this is the first thing I have ever stuck to and had results. I can't remember the last time I was so happy about my health and my weight. PS, I bought a size 8 dress over the weekend that I wore to the appointment yesterday!! Don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but for all those thinking about having WLS, I say go for it, it does work!!

YEAH Linda! We love the happy tears!! What type of WLS did you have with Scweitzer? I will be seeing him soon and I need input.
Thanks,
Katherine
You are exactly the kind of person I was thinking about when I posted. I had my surgery with Dr S back in November. I had the LAP RNY at Bayview. When you meet with him, he will discuss with you what type of surgery would be best for you. I think he is a wonderful man and a great doctor. He has the best reputation and I would pick him again. If you have any other questions,. please feel free to e mail me anytime. Linda
Way to go Linda!! Congratulations; you certainly deserve the bragging rights! I had surgery with Dr. S. last month. I hope my results are close to yours. So far I have been doing well. I try not to hop on the scale too often, but one thing is for sure - - - I really do FEEL great! While I haven't been on the scale, I must be losing because everybody else is noticing! I second everything you said about WLS - - - anyone considering it should really consider it seriously. It seems to work for everybody!
