Where can I find the fuzzy navel protein? Also, how far out from surgery do you drink protein? Thanks

I would check with the OH sponsors first, and if nothing works out, Amazon.com has it listed.  Not sure if available anywhere locally.  I would start drinking it pre-op.  Can't hurt, and will only help with recovery.  The milk based protein drinks, you may find you have a problem with after surgery.  I was lactose intolerant for approximately 6 months post-op.  Can now handle them, but stomach does some major grumbling.  Good luck! Hi Bonnie, It's good to try stuff pre-op but you may find that things that you absolutely LOVED pre-op you are not so happy with post op so don't go overboard stocking up on proteins.

I agree with Traci though, it's a good idea to start on the protein pre-op because it will definitely help with your healing. Each doctor has differing ideas on protein supplements.   I am over 3 years out and my doctor mandates 2 protein drinks / day for LIFE, while other doctors say no protein drinks after you get to solid food.

You are on the downward slope to your surgery!   Less than a month to go now. Hugs, Mo
