Visited with Violet

Good morning everyone!  Well, last night I went up to visit Violet.  She looks GREAT!  She's moving around well, but still does complain about the drain site being really sore.  Her nausea is completely gone now that she is off the pump.  They moved her to a private room and wasn't sure why.  Come to find out they did it because she is an employee of the hospital (NICU) and it was a little perk for her.  HOW NICE! :)  Her nurse hasn't been very attentive, but she doesn't want to complain.  Hopefully her night nurse was better!  She'll be coming home tonight more than likely.

Yay!  Is she coming home with a drain?  That thing was a pain (in my side!), for the whole 10 days it was in.  It was only supposed to be in for 7, but you know me, I have to be an overachiever!!!

Glad she's doing well, looking forward to meeting her!

I imagine she IS coming home with the drain.  She said it was sewn in there! EWWW!

Yeah, but it's only a couple of tiny stitches - mine came unstitched and by the time I went to have it removed, there was only one left!  Kind of scary!!

Hey Heather glad to hear she is doing good and wow a private room. I wished I had one of those. Where did she have her surgery? Cant wait to hear about her journey. Thanks for updating

Same as me.  Dr. Schweitzer at JH Bayview :)  I didn't have a private room either, but I had a nice roomie :)  Kim Bradley (Miss Piggy is her avatar) was my roomie!!!
