Anyone have BC/BS of Illinois?

Just wondering how the insurance process went with BC/BS of Illinois? I am 1/2 way trhough my 6 month, but insurance can't be submitted until after July 1st when I am enrolled.  Any comments about this insurer is appreciated.

I dont have your exact insurance. I have bc/bs thru the state. I was reading about you. We had one of our children the same day 2/16/98. I wish you best of luck. I am waiting to see if im approved yet. They sent my 6 month diet and paper work in last week.

I have BCBS Federal and actually have the same Doctor.  At this stage I am waiting for a date.  It was not required that I do the 6 month diet plan, but it took me 6 months to get all of the medical records.  II completed all other steps and the paperwork was submitted to the insurance company 5/24.  I was told it can take up to 3 weeks for the approval.

Hi Kelly, I have BC/BS of Illinois.   The big question with them is who your employer is? They tend to do policies for a lot of the larger companies that work with BC/BS.  So they also end up with a lot of specific exclusions.   They also generally have a thrid party that does their surgical pre-certifications.
