FOLLOW THAT AMBULANCE!!
Hi All.. Sorry I haven't posted lately. Had a little incident Wednesday. Was sitting at my computer at home about 5:15pm. Lf arm started to tingle, and I just felt funny. Husband came home and asked if I had taken my blood pressure. Took 4 readings all wer in the 200/140 range!!! i said it was my BP cuff. Didn't want to go running to the ER, so we went to the Fire Department. Long story short, Strapped on the gurney, hooked up EKG, IV and O2, and off I went sirens blaring, lights blazing!!! I felt like Moses parting the Red Sea as I looked out the back window! Needless to say was not impressed with Carroll Hospital Center or the Physicians Assistant (Guess I wasn't serious enough to get a "Doctor") No tests were run, nothing was done. They just waited for my pressure to come down. Did feed me a "Colondin" about 11:30. About 40 minutes later they discharged me. I guess because I wasn't bleeding, I didn't warrent anything other than an ocasional check. Good news, Had my last test!! Will compile my packet and send into the Doctor's office. Cross anything you can and think positive thoughts...
Hi Kristy, It's experiences like yours that make us hesitant to go to the ER when we really SHOULD go to the ER. The good news is that hopefully once you are a loser, you will not have any more of these incidents but please keep an eye on yourself and get medical attention if you do have them. Hugs, Mo
Hi, I am just waiting on the report from the cardiologist for the echo cardiogram. Then I will send it to Wendy at Dr. Greene's office. She said turn around time with her is about a week. Then I wait with my fingers, toes eyes and legs crossed... Opps, no my legs quite yet!!! Did you have to go to get a sleep study? If so was it Dr. Bakkar? Would kile your opinion if it was. Have a wonderful day. Kristy
