I have always had trouble shopping because my back would hurt so bad and after about 20 minutes on my feet my right leg would get numb and I would have to sit down or it would literally give way. So Saturday I went shopping with my foster daugher and we did two complete round trips of the entire mall and stopped in a bunch of shops and  -  NO BACK PAIN AND NO NUMB LEG!! ITs amazing, I still have so far to go but even so I already feel so much better and have so much more energy!

Congratulations!! being able to get around so much better is just a wonderful event!! I do understand!! It's amazing the strain that the excess weight really puts us under, & just think?? It only gets better from this point!! Congrats again. Peace. jbug

Congrats Lisa!  Good feeling, isn't it?  I remember when I realized that my back pain had eased up.  Never thought of being able to live life without it.  Now, can't stop thinking of things that I can get into not having to worry about the back pain.  Can't wait for Julie R to be at this point!!  Keep up the good work.  OT - how do you like doing foster care?  I would love to talk to you at some point about it.   TraciL

It is so wonderful to realize you have done something that your weight kept you from doing previously. Each and every day adds more and more to us on our wl. Smmoches,

Hi LIsa! It's a wonderful feeling when you realize you are just doing things and not held back by the weight.   I'm 3 years ahead of your WLS-wise, but I remember how amazed I was the first trip to Charlotte barely 2 months post op where I could walk from the RV to the track without having to stop every 15 feet to let my hip/back rest or catch my breath! Hi Lisa - It's amazing the things we take for granted, isn't it??  I'm so glad you were pain free at last!!  I suffered from a pinched nerve pre-op, so I fully sympathize with you!

You go, girl!!!
