Journal thread?

I'm having a real problem with snacking lately.  I think it has a lot to do with my crazy schedule, and not making time to really eat right.  As most of you know, I just had my one-year anniversary.  The first six months, nothing tasted good to me.  Now, I feel like I have a constant sweet tooth.  I don't think I'm overeating, just making the wrong choices.  I haven't really lost any weight in the past six weeks or so, although I haven't gained weight either.  I am terrible at keeping a journal, but I know that if I did keep one my nutritionist would kill me next time I see her.  Has anyone else gone through this after surgery?  I'm thinking about starting a journal thread where at the end of each day we post our food intake for the day.  I'm hoping that it will help me get a grip, but also that by seeing what others are eating I might get some ideas to change my ways.  Would anyone else be interested in participating in a thread like this?

Hi Jay, Sounds like an interesting idea.   Especially if it helps you get back on track.    I do think you might need a little info from those that post though.   You might want to come up with a format that each person would use. ie:   Name, Surgery Date, Male/Female, current wgt, age (gasp...I know the ladies will protest that one), and then what you ate and when.... The only reason I say that, is that the things you are eating, at a year out, might be way over the top for someone a month or two out.   Since this forum is open to anyone, some of the newer surgery patients (without the background info) might think it was OK to eat the way a person 2 years out is eating.    Just a thought. Sounds like a great idea...let's see how it goes in practice! Dave

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

That would work better for me. Two of the other forums  I visit do that, but with what they plan to eat each day. I am just not that great a planner. Let's do it!!!
