Anyone going to Bayview support group meeting

Hi. I was planning on coming in from Cumberland to attend the support group meeting at Bayview on June 21. Is anyone planing on attending from the RNY or DS group? Thanks. Jo

Jo, I've been trying to get to a meeting.  I haven't been to a Bayview group since before my surgery.  It just doesn't work well with my schedule.  But, I told Pat Jordan that I would try to get to one soon.

Hi! I think that I am going to try to attend the meeting on Tuesday, 6/12 from 5:30 - 6:30. It's easier for me to make it on time to that one from work. If you decide to go to the 6/12 meeting, let me know. I'll meet up with you! Take care. The meetings really do give you a boost besides all of the information. The comraderie is great. ~~ Pat

Hi Tri****alked to my husband and he is going to take off work so I can go to the one on Tuesday 6/12. I would like to meet you. My appointment with Dr. Schweitzer is 7/2 so I will be glad to get to see more about the program. Do the surgeons and their staff attend these meetings? Do you call yourself OC because you like to go to Ocean City a lot? Please let me know if you are going to go on the 12. Thanks. Jo

Different staff members generally attend. Once in awhile different doctors may show, but usually the plastic surgeons, etc. Dr. Schweitzer is great. I can't say enough about him. He is the best. Each meeting you get different information and perspectives on things. Any question you have can be answered. Yes, I go to OC quite a bit. I have a little place down there; I can relax there best. I will definitely plan to go on the 12th. Give me a reminder the day before. I should be okay though. I don't foresee any problems. I am looking forward to seeing you. Are you bringing your husband with you? A lot of members bring their support person so they can get a good understanding as well. My husband will be watching our girls. Trish I can't wait to go. I am so glad you responded. Yes my husband is coming with me as is my friend Jackie. She and my sister in law are going to share staying with me the first few weeks after surgery. . I can't wait to meet Dr. S. Just from all the things I have heard and read about him I have total confidence in him. We have a little place in OC too! I am looking forward to meeting you. Jo
