I got to meet our one and only Dave Gede tonight at the Cow in Reisterstown!  The clouds were less than cooperative for the view,  but it was great to finally put a face to the emails! My son and nephew got a mini-astronomy lesson and can't wait to go back on June 8th!  Thanks Dave, it was great meeting you - and we'll see you in 2 weeks!

Awwwww! I wish I could have made it.  But hubby worked tonight and I didn't have anyone to go with me all the way out there.  I will see if I can make it on the next meeting. Glad you got to meet him he is a great guy!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Next time we will go together. I'll help you with the kids and I know exactly where the Cow is located.

You were my second customer on Saturday.    At about 8:15, or so, the moon finallly poked through the clouds and I could start letting folks take a look.    The clouds never thinned enough for either Venus or Saturn, but at least I had the moon!    June 8th, I will not have the moon, so I really hope the skies are clear enough for Saturn! I ended up talking to (and quizzing) about 65 kids and roughly the same amount of adults.   About 2/3 got to take a look through the scope. I did not finish until about 11 and then, after I packed up, a couple of college kids wanted to talk about astronomy.   So, bottom line, I did not get home until about midnight.   It was a lot of fun. It was a real pleasure to meet you, your son and nephew.    Dave

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

I wish we could have stayed later to get a peek at the moon. But we had to get my daughter from a birthday party.  But we will be down on the 8th. And the nephew has already asked to spend the night that night so he can come with us!  Thanks again!!! It was great finally meeting an OH friend!!!
