Hi Everyone, I was wondering, I am 4 weeks post op and I get all my protein in daily, but I am only consuming about 500 calories/day.  I am wondering how many calories you all are consuming before I call my dietician.  I am getting 50-60g of protein and 64-72oz of water.

Thanks

Jen

Hi Jen, At 4 weeks out I was barely getting to 500 calories a day and maybe 25 grams of protein and about 20 ounces of water!! You are doing wonderful and when you let your dietician know he/she will tell you the same. Best wishes!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hi Jen, I was shocked at how few calories I actually needed.    Bottom line is that you need to check with a medical doctor or dietician for official advice on how many calories you need.     In my case, I am consuming between 500 and 1000 calories a day.   Mostly protein.   I am about 10 weeks out.   I was between 400 and 600 at 4 weeks out.    As my excersice levels have gone up, my coloric intake has been able to go up and still continue to lose.    Hope that helps...and let us know what your dietician tells you. Thanks, Dave

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
