When I received my surgery date they told me that I did not need do the liquid diet but I went today and they told me that I will need to do a liquid diet (10 days before surgery). Has this happened to anyone else?
I would call just to verify again, and then go with the flow. I did not have to do it, but lots of peeps did. Best of luck and hope that all goes ok. Keep us updated.

I had to do a 2 week liquid diet before my surgery. This was mainly to shrink my liver and make sure my system was clean at surgery. I had protein shakes, chicken broth, protein bars and clear liquids.
I wasn't required to do one. But I would definitely call the surgeon's office and ask them what is going on.
